IAN JAY LIFE UPDATE: i’ve moved into my new apartment!! CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO and let me give you the grand tour.
UPDATES ON THINGS I MENTION IN THE VIDEO (from this morning):
- the landlady says that neither internet nor cable was included in the rent, which that’s totally a lie but whatever. she’s one of those people who “doesn’t use the internet”, which, like, fantastic, let me know how that works out for you in 2012. i’m getting a six-month plan from Comcast; they’re gonna have a dude come by on Wednesday to set it up. until then I’ll be spending a lot of time at my mom’s house (where I am now) and at Starbucks, I suppose. if i seem more absent from the net than usual, that’s why.
- APPARENTLY i might just have to unplug the AV connections on the PS3 and just rely on the HDMI. hopefully that’ll work. i should mostly be focusing on work anyways so that’s not too pressing.
- THERE WAS A GUY UPSTAIRS— the “Steven” that the mysterious faint internet connection in the house belongs to. despite opening the door at the top of the stairs, walking around their house and knocking on doors yelling “HELLO” he never revealed himself to me. maybe he thinks…. that I was the ghost?!?!
ALL IN ALL once i get some cyber-tubes hooked up it’ll be a shit-hot base of operations. it’ll be kind of lonely until adri gets here, though. CAN’T WAIT UNTIL THEN <3
